Hi, I’m Yashoda, a paediatric surgeon turned holistic healer at Yashoda Yatra. My career soared in rural South Africa’s state hospitals, where I tackled relentless challenges—patching hernias, resecting tumors, and saving newborns under scarce resources. The smiles of children in need fueled my dream of building a children’s hospital, a vision I still cherish. Yet, I walked away. Why? A journey of physical and mental pain reshaped me.
The Physical Struggle
Endometriosis and adenomyosis ruled my body, tied to the lunar cycle, while work’s unforgiving grind shattered my stress limits. I ignored my body’s cries—worsening pain, emotional distress—opting for temporary fixes that masked deeper wounds. The medical field offered no fertility-preserving solutions, leaving a void. Burnout, a divine wake-up call, forced me to step back and heal.
Embracing Feminine Cycles
Ancient wisdom from my Vedic roots revealed what I’d missed. My Guruji taught that women’s energy dances with the lunar cycle—peaking 64x during ovulation for creativity and stamina, dipping for rest during menstruation. Men align with the solar cycle, peaking daytime, fading by night—explaining tired husbands! I fought this rhythm, medicating through severe period pain to operate, wracked with guilt when bedridden. Society’s masculine-driven demands clashed with my feminine flow—no quick fix exists, but honoring my cycle was key. Companies are waking to this truth; fighting it cost me years.
A Spiritual Pivot
Burnout coincided with Guruji’s teachings, pushing me to choose myself despite guilt—selflessness and selfishness both imbalance. Plant medicine insights reignited my soul’s awareness, leading to yoga, mitochondrial health, and quantum biology. Dr. Konstantin Korotkov’s Bio-Well Device and TeraHz therapy (guided by teacher, Dr. Gururaj) bridged ancient and modern healing, where medicine fell short. Tesla’s wisdom—“energy, frequency, vibration”—resonates here, as does Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Amazonian practices.
Healing and Sharing
These tools restored me, and now I guide others. My next blog will dive into the mental and emotional pain. For now, explore this frontier: Bio-Well scans, TeraHz therapy, and Vedic wisdom await at Yashoda Yatra. Let’s heal together—check my resources below!

Change is underway
Since writing this Blog, many changes are underway through brave women standing up for menstrual health and rights globally!
Win for Endometriosis and Adenomyosis sufferers in Portugal
Portugal recently introduced three consecutive days of employer-paid leave per month for employees who experience severe and disabling menstrual pain caused by endometriosis or adenomyosis. This change took effect on 26 April 2025.
UK making strides
Endometriosis UK: "We hope the current petition to introduce menstrual leave for those with endometriosis and adenomyosis reaches the 100,000 signatories to trigger a debate in parliament and highlight the plight of those with these under recognised and under resourced diseases."
Change.org petition in South Africa
"The endometriosis crisis requires immediate policy intervention. By implementing menstrual leave policies, we can offer relief and support to those in need. Special wards dedicated to endometriosis care, alongside increased funding for research on cure and pain management strategies, are essential steps toward managing this widespread health crisis."
